Mindfulness for tweens and teens

I used to have a lot of anxiety and suffered with insomnia. My sleep is much better now and I now have ways to manage my worry. BR – Aged 16

Introducing meditation to children nurtures a positive awareness of their own well-being from the start. Children are infinitely suited to benefit from mindfulness practice. The mind of a child is flexible and free which already allows them to be present in the moment. And habits formed early in life will guide behaviours and attitudes in adulthood.

Some of the benefits of mindful meditation for children:

  • Improve self-awareness
  • Cultivate joy
  • Develops empathy
  • Strengthens resilience
  • Self-regulation
  • Social emotional development

A few of the issues that children may be experiencing that mindfulness can help with*:

  • Navigating puberty
  • Anxiety
  • Pressures at school/exam stress/bullying
  • Struggling to fit in
  • Self-esteem

*By no means an extensive list. Do please get in touch and let’s have a chat about how mindfulness can help your child

For tweens and teens, I offer either 1:1 sessions or small group workshops with a maximum of 12 children

Let’s talk

I really like doing Mindfulness- it’s so relaxing after I have been sitting doing my school work. I feel fresh and calm afterwards. GL – Aged 13
